Join the Friends of the Pend d’Oreille Bay Trail for their 3rd annual “Toast the Trail Celebration” from 5—8 pm, Thursday, November 13. This year’s party will be especially festive since the first phase of the trail has now been officially completed!

With the city of Ponderay’s final payment to the original landowners, 1.5 miles of waterfront trail is now, and will remain, open for public nonmotorized use.

This accomplishment comes after a 3-year successful fundraising and outreach campaign, and the efforts and financial support of hundreds of individuals, businesses, public officials and foundations.

So put on your party hats and head over to the Pend d’Oreille Winery in its new location—301 Cedar Street in Sandpoint. The Friends want to thank all of you for making this trail a lasting legacy for generations to enjoy.

The evening includes live music by Harold’s IGA, reduced drink prices, great locally sourced food and an update on trails in North Idaho. Admission is free.

You also have a chance to weigh in on future plans for our community’s trails and open spaces.
